Springboard is absolutely delighted to be taking part in Big Give’s Christmas Challenge running between 2 – 9 December.
This is the UK’s biggest annual match-funding campaign. Donations given via BigGive.org will be doubled from midday Tuesday 2nd December to midday Tuesday 9th December – doubling the impact of your donation and helping us help more young children with SEND and their families. (Please note that they cannot match fund donations on other websites, including our own Springboard site, or donations made offline, e.g. cheques.)
We understand the profound impact of raising a child with Special Educational Needs or a Disability (SEND), and the challenges families face. Our Family Support Service plays a vital role in equipping parents and carers with the tools, guidance, and emotional support they need. Families rely on Springboard not just for the child’s early years education, by as a trusted space for respite, advice and acceptance – especially in the increasing uncertain SEND landscape.
Guided by our vision, we strive to empower every child and their family to thrive within a supportive and inclusive community. Through the Big Give Christmas Appeal we are aiming to raise £20,0000 this December; this will help support the Family Support Service role across our four settings providing vital support for families navigating the challenges of early childhood with SEND ensuring they receive the guidance and care they deserve. This will help our families in the current cohorts, but also in the new children and families welcomed at our Stay & Play sessions held each week across the 4 settings.
Our Family Practitioners (SEND) offer guidance on essential services, as well as financial support and form filling assistance, provide education workshops such as behaviour management, language & communication, sleeping, feeding, toileting and transition to schools, as well as important home visits and emotional support.
