Makaton is a keyword signing and symbol system which is widely used to enable children with language difficulties to communicate.

We run courses to help parents and carers; family members; pre school and schools staff and other support staff. A brief description of the courses:

Beginner's 1 - suitable for parents/carers ad early years staff
Beginner's 2 - suitable for parents/carers and early years staff who have completed Beginner's 1 Workshop
Follow up 1 - for those who have completed both Beginners 1 and 2
Follow Up 2 - for those who have completed Begs 1 and 2 and Follow Up 1
Foundation Course - is recommended for teaching staff, early years staff and other professionals (is more detailed than Begs workshops)
Enhancement Course - is aimed at those who have completed the Foundation workshop
Refresher - particpants muct have completed at least Beginner's ! workshop
