Our Patrons

Rupert Graves, the well known and versatile actor, who is from Weston super mare, where he attended school and launched his career,  has been a Springboard Patron since 2006. He has visited our Clevedon and Weston Centres with his young family and takes a genuine interest in the work of Springboard and the community we support.
In November 2006 he came along to perform the official opening of Springboard  Weston at Ashcombe Children's Centre.
Here is he is pictured with Gill and Jo when he called in to our Clevedon Centre in 2006.
BBC presenter Jemma Cooper  kindly agreed to become a Springboard patron in 2011. Jemma has been presenting the weather for BBC Points West and BBC Radio Bristol for the past 3 years. She has also co-organised the Portishead Carnival for the last 9 years.
Jemma said, "I'm delighted to be asked to be a Patron of Springboard. My links with the charity goes back several years as they always have stall at Portishead Carnival and we have given them grants from the proceeds of the event. Having seen the fantastic work at their nursery in Clevedon and hearing all about the centre in Weston super Mare I couldn't be more pleased to lend my support. Springboard provides a much needed service for special needs children and their parents and the children that come to Springboard clearly love every minute. I look forward to supporting it."
Gareth, Springboard’s Promotions Officer who contacted Jemma says "We are very happy that Jemma has agreed to be our patron. She is a trusted and well-liked local celebrity and a passionate supporter of good causes. We're very much looking forward to working with her to celebrate our 25th anniversary and we hope that everyone will have teh chace to meet her".
Jemma has already joined us at several events, our 25th celebration day and she compered our fashion show last October.
